Phillip Rollo is a photographer and reporter for the Nelson Weekly.
At just 20 years of age, he has had over 300 articles published in the Nelson's the Nelson Weekly and the Waimea Weekly, five in the Fairfax owned Nelson Mail, including a front page story, and one story in New Zealand's leading rugby magazine, Rugby News. The Dominion Post has published five photos by Phillip Rollo and one has made the Otago Daily Times. Softball New Zealand's website features one of his photos on their homepage. Phillip has been sideline for Super 15 matches including the Crusaders versus Sharks playoff game, interviewed Wallabies captain James Horwill, former Wellington Phoenix assistant coach Jonathan Gould, Samoan halfback Khan Fotuali'i, along with many other well known sportspeople.
Sports is his passion, with an end goal of becoming the country's top sports photographer.
Phillip received the award for Academic Excellence in Journalism at Nayland College in 2009.
